GIW Slurry Pumps-Tough Sugar Duties

Cargo Ship

3. Mud/Ash slurry-in this part of the process, GIW pumps handle belt thickener solids mixed with ash for transfer off site to the spoils area.

4. Wash water transfer-GIW pumps handle the dirty, grit laden wash water throughout the circuit.

5. Sump pumps---GIW vertical pumps are used in sumps that see mud, ash, sand, and grit.

6. Final mill discharge offsite---GIW pumps take all of the accumulated waste water and send it offsite to your final discharge pond.

 The application focus of GIW slurry pumps is simple and straight forward. Pumps that are required to handle solids must be designed to accept large particles, abrasive materials, impact and sliding abrasion, and the elevated velocities required to maintain the solids in suspension throughout the pipeline. The wet end components of GIW LCC pumps are cast in a proprietary 28% chrome white iron alloy that is perfectly suited for the services in the sugar process applications listed above. Handling a pH range of 4-14 and maintaining a minimum hardness of 650 Brinell throughout the thickness of the wet end components insure long wear life and lower pumping costs to the mill.
